NOTICE OF ELECTION SCOTLAND COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA The municipal general election for Gibson, Laurinburg, Maxton and Wagram will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Voters will be asked to show photo ID when they vote. All voters will be allowed to vote with or without ID. Voters who lack ID can get one for free from their county board of elections. Find out more at ncsbe.gov/voter-id. All Polls will be open from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm on Election Day, except for Precinct 06-89. Precinct 06-89, the Laurel Hill Community Center, located at 14940 Church Street, Laurel Hill, with only (19) eligible voters will be closed for the 2025 Municipal Election only. The 19 eligible voters for the 2025 Municipal Election, can vote during Early Voting, vote an Absentee Ballot or vote on Election Day. On Election Day voters that normally vote at Precinct 06-89 can vote at Precinct 01-16, Scotland County Annex Building, located at 231 E. Cronly Street, Laurinburg. Letters will be mailed to all affect voters with in-depth information. Precinct 06- 89 will reopen for the 2026 Primary Elections. Early voting will be held at the Scotland County Board of Elections Conference Room for Laurinburg and Maxton voters only from Thursday, October 16, 2025, to Saturday, November 1, 2025. The voting hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Canvass will be held in the Scotland County Board of Elections office at 11:00 am on Friday, November 14, 2025. Absentee ballots will be mailed to voters who have requested them beginning October 3, 2025 for Laurinburg and Maxton citizens only. Gibson and Wagram will not be offering absentee by-mail for this election. A voter can fill out an absentee ballot request at votebymail.ncsbe. gov, or by filling out a request form provided by the board of elections. The request must be received through the website or by the Scotland County Board of Elections office by 5 pm October 21, 2025. The Election Board will meet at 5:00 pm on the following dates to review any returned absentee ballots: September 30, October 7, October 14, October 21, October 28, November 3 and November 4, 2025. Registered voters who live within the boundaries of Gibson, Laurinburg, Maxton and Wagram may vote in the municipal election. Municipal contests include the mayor and members of the municipality's governing board. The voter registration deadline for this election is 5 pm Friday, October 10, 2025. Eligible individuals who are not registered by that deadline may register and vote at any early voting site during the early voting period.
